Madda Studio
Originally from Rome, Italy with training in art restoration and later in textile design in Mexico City, Maddalena Forcella has spent the last 25 years working in Mexico with indigenous artisans, researching traditional weaving and dyeing techniques.
She loves to play with the dye process. Plants, bark, flowers and insects enable her to create an unlimited spectrum of colors, hues and saturations. With her vast experience working all over Mexico with indigenous weavers, she shares her knowledge of natural dyes as a design consultant on behalf of foundations, NGOs, and government projects.
Madda Studio was born from these experiences, and day by day works to consolidate a solidarity and sustainable company in the contemporary market.
