Hand-built sculptural vessel in a brown-colored stoneware clay with a textured finish. KQK is the Thetford Mines, Quebec studio of designer Karen Quirion. Founded in 2012 as a clothing label, the studio carries her background in fashion and her interest in deconstruction into ceramics: each vessel is hand-built through coiling, pinching and slab techniques into organic, sculptural forms drawn from the raw beauty of nature and the bold lines of brutalist architecture.
