William is a process based artist who's work can be characterized by his empirical approach to making. William's work seeks to unit those who view it by tapping into shared curiosity, his unashamedly uses simple pleasures to draw the spectator in whilst eluding to something much deeper. William's work is the result of his curiosity and exploration into everyday physics often realized through intricate mechanical processes, balance, and harmony.
The Beaufort series is an exploration into to the harnessing of a given power supply, a fridge compressor, to understand resistance, airflow, pressure. Much like water through a plant the air passes through the hollow structure of the work to atmosphere passing over the blades of the cut elements balanced at the peripheries of structure.
