Studio Cober
Born in 1989, Lukas Cober was born and raised in Aachen, the city on the tripont of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. After studying product design, he worked as an assistant to artist/designer Valentin Loellman before starting his own studio, Studio Cober, in 2018.
Studio Cober is an interdisciplinary design studio for objects of aesthetic expression through shape and materiality. Lukas Cober emphasizes the value and beauty of the chosen raw material to create minimalistic objects that remain timelessly beautiful. His priority clearly focuses rather on a feeling that the material and the shape might arouse then the function of the object itself. It might be a chair, a bag or a lamp. Thinking about each product as a static sculpture he creates a conversation between materiality and shape with a pure outcome.
