PAMPLEMOUSSE began with Liesa Boutry on one of her many trips to Venice. Raised in Austria's Salzkammergut and now based in Vienna, she has long surrounded herself with handcrafted objects and antiques from local workshops.

The turning point came when she discovered one of the oldest weaving mills in Venice, where velvet is still woven by hand on the looms. She began sewing cushions from these velvets in 15th-century patterns, trimmed with brushed fringe from Austria and filled with feather inserts from Tyrol. A friendship with a small Venetian fornace soon followed, bringing richly colored hand-blown glass as a counterpart to the textiles.

Built on those two products, PAMPLEMOUSSE stands for savoir-faire, quality, and timeless elegance — primarily from Italy and Austria — with sustainability carried through production, packaging, and transport.
