TOTEM TABLE LAMP
The Mythic Lamp Series is a new collection of handbuilt sculptural lamps, inspired by the mythic power of Britain's ancient cultural and physical landscape. The pieces embody this storied past, whether it's the towering influence of legendary standing stones re-interpreted in the Totem Lamp design, or the very human resonance of historic settlements captured by the Cerne Lamp.
Tall, elemental and a potent mix of the modern and the mythic, the Totem lamp is a hand sculpted design. Working initially in plaster, Martin uses this traditional material to build and refine the final form. Elemental shapes and rich textural marks combine in these unique functional sculptures, to hint at human forms and common myths.
