KOMETA PENDANT
Regular price
$13,200
This pendant lamp features an oblong form, with the bottom part made of a semi-spherical brass shape containing a light source. The upper portion resembles the light footprint created by the brass sphere. The object is inspired by the icons found in the Museum in Supraśl, particularly the works of Jerzy Nowosielski, whose iconography often explores esoteric themes in a synthetic, almost graphical style. The designer’s reflection on religion goes beyond Christian dogma, driven by a deep, unfulfilled need for understanding and meaning. This longing has sparked his imagination, placing his spirituality in the awe of celestial bodies, often contemplating the night sky. The lamp attempts to materialize these impressions, distilling them into a simplified visual form. The primary inspiration for the design was a comet, symbolizing hope and a new beginning, reflecting both its religious and cosmic significance.
