Since 1978, ECART has been reissuing iconic furniture, lighting, and objects from the early 20th-century heritage. Founded by Andrée Putman, the company is dedicated to protecting, promoting, and disseminating the legacy of the greatest architects and designers of the Modern Movement, including Jean-Michel Frank, Eileen Gray, Pierre Chareau, and Michel Dufet. Once supported and collected by a few erudite patrons, these pioneering artists have now become timeless.

More than 40 years later, ECART continues to work in its founder's footsteps and now boasts the largest collection of reissued pieces from the 1920s-1940s.

In addition to their studio work, Destroyers/Builders is also part of BRUT COLLECTIVE, a cooperative of 6 emerging Belgian designers with a common approach to pushing the boundries of design.
