Amélie Crépy
Amélie Crépy is a British / French textile designer and artist who lives in Surrey, UK.
After graduating in womenswear fashion design, Amélie worked as a textile print designer producing motifs that sold internationally to both luxury and high-street labels. She also held specialist positions in interior textile, print and fashion houses.
Her passion for the physicality of woven fabric and her desire to seek a more sustainable approach, inspired her to engage more deeply with organic materials.
Amélie’s experimentation with natural dyes and hands-on processes has allowed her to appreciate the value of textiles, as well as to understand their inherent ability to exist as artwork.
