Patrona

Patrona

Patrona Textiles was created out of passion for the earthy and grounding elements that make up hand woven textiles: hand spun natural fibers, animal wool, natural pigment and plant dyes. With a deep appreciation for the artisans that are keeping these traditions alive, who pass their techniques down by generations, Patrona Textiles aims to honor the people who ingeniously and expertly design each piece. The macro vision is to insure that indigenous artisans globally, but specifically in Argentina, remain supported by having access to a broader global market for their goods.
Moorea Morehart is a Film and Television producer whose focus shifted to creating Patrona Textiles after a textile hunting journey through Northern Argentina where she learned of a year by year lessening of handwoven goods. Having grown up living between Aspen, CO, on a sailboat traveling globally, and in Patagonia, Argentina, the richness of life has informed her global perspective - her aim is to bring the same vitality of an adventurous life, the closeness and connection to the earth into the homes of those as passionate about indigenous art and design as she is.
