For her first WHITE DIRT collection, Dana Harel fashioned crudely constructed paper-and-wood molds—a skull registered at the base of each—inside which she poured plaster. Once the plaster dried, she then carved and refined her plaster originals before translating them into porcelain vessels slip-cast porcelain with matte exterior + glazed interior
